Our founding partner, Pritpal Mahil immigrated to Canada, with his wife and daughter in 2000 under Federal Skilled Worker Category. Having the first hand experience of the difficulties and challenges that new immigrants face, has made him a better immigration professional . Throughout his life in Canada, he studied various processes, resources, and programs available for new immigrants which can help them to become an integral & successful part of Canadian Society. He himself availed those resources and successfully settled down in Canada along with his family. Now, he is helping new immigrants to
Canada by advising them about the different immigration programs, applications, and interview
process.
He has extensive knowledge of immigration, refugee laws accounting, personal and corporate tax. Pritpal holds a Masters Degree in Political Science & International Relations. Immigration and its impact on foreign policies of countries and international relations always remained his favourite topic to study. He has a keen interest in analysing the factors leading to the international movement of people and placement of refugees.
Prior to moving to Canada, he was a senior excise and taxation officer in the Indian state of
Punjab. After moving to Canada, he furthered his education in bookkeeping, personal and
corporate tax preparation and completed the Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures
Program from University of British Columbia in 2019. Prior to becoming a Registered Canadian
Immigration Consultant, he has over two and half decades of experience in accounting, personal
& business taxes, office management & administration, and legal system. He has valuable
experience of working in the offices of top Canadian & large international corporations including
Jim Pattison, Westport Innovations Inc., and Sonepar. With vast experience and knowledge of
international relations, refugee settlement processes, accounting, taxes, and international tax
treaties, he is there to help you. Above all, you will get honest advice from him. An avid sports
enthusiast, when he is not in office, you will find him on trails or on soccer ground. He believes
in giving back to the community, be it coaching local teens soccer club or volunteering with
local organizations.
Roopinder Mahil, is a partner at Canadian Seal Immigration Services Ltd. She holds a Bachelors of
Science Degree, Masters Degree in Business Administration, and is a Certified Payroll Compliance
Practitioner (CPE) from National Payroll Institute (NPI), formerly known as Canadian Payroll
Association (CPA). About 22 years before she migrated from India under Federal Skilled Workers
Program along with her husband and infant daughter. Before moving to Canada, Roopinder was one of a
few top women executives in automotive industry in India. After immigrating to Canada, she worked for
a couple of years for a large Canadian immigration company and became well acquainted with Canadian
immigration system and prepared herself to move to next level of her experience. For more than 15 years
she has handled and managed payroll departments in industries such as forestry, hospitality, health care
and telecommunications. She has also worked with Service Canada, a federal department. She is
experienced in managing the payroll of over 3,000 employees, unionized payroll, international payroll,
taxable and non-taxable benefits, WCB requirements, payroll reporting requirements, employers’
compliance audits, LMIA process and human resources processes. Dealing with new immigrant
employees has further refined her skill and her dedication to new immigrants. She is well acquainted with
the payroll & labor laws, regulations and policies and employment standard & requirement of all
jurisdictions in Canada including all provinces and federal labor code. She is currently a Payroll Manager
with an MNC. She has over two decades’ extensive experience in dealing with the CRA and ESDC for
payroll audit and reporting requirements. Hers’ is a story of a new immigrant successfully settling down
in Canada. Now her mission is to help new immigrants to settle in Canada. In her spare time, Roopinder loves to spend time with her family.
